moving against the traditional portrait to analytical studies through using photographs as evidence. the comment raised in class about people appearing within photographs with out realising, the fact that we exists as a pixel with out our knowledge is fascinating. Which goes along with the way in which the digital world acts as a expansive briefcase. The Internet seems to act as a filling cabinet, an alive encyclopedia.
I am going to take a step back and take a roll of film exploring the notion of what we did before the Internet, I'm going to focus on the aspect of the anonymous and i will begin to analysis this through notations, overlays and sketches of this journey, I will begin this in Sydney Australia To end in Wellington Although a non portrait in the traditional sense but, it is a personal depiction through my eye, my perception of myself acting as if i where an Internet tool.
Although not potraiture in the traditional sense, it will be in-fact my potrayol, under my complete controll, although initially i will not be attempting to photograph posed, this documentation will occur naturally, and will not be in anyway a forced action.
Like the Atlas group I will extract the important pieces of information, This will become an editing process, with a focus on the anonomous, My job is to attempt to piece together an interesting puzzle.
I will begin by taking a creating a journel filing the photos, I will then notate the location time and date, this will be within a sequence i will the bring this to the digital world, will people be able to recognise themselves? or will the work become apart of the internet it self?
The atlas group as you can see in the photographs are an organisation whom have been together since 1990 documenting, filing and researching the lebonon history
