CONCEPT
'the poetics of space'
How a spatial experience could evoke a narrative of interpretation
The depiction of spatial qualities to form a narrative

THEORY
Architecture is complex. It takes the form of both a sketch on a piece of paper and an object in space, It can be theoretical or craftsman-like,conceptual or actual, private or public, pleasing or polarizing, Utopian or physical, temporary or long lasting. Architecture is determined by heternomously and is influenced by countless external factors.
The architecture firm SANNA focuses on making space visible. 'It is an architecture that very generously gives people space and shelter without trusting them, without the intention of emphasizing the fact that it is architecture. 'the extract - The well known pragmatic statement made by the American painter Frank Stella in 1964 'what you see is what you see' exemplifies the rejection of any form of symbolism or meaning and refers entirely to reality that exists in its own right, but there is no autonomous reality in architecture, one must therefore view the minimalism of Sannas aesthetic rather as a reduction, an attempt to reveal the essence of architecture, This consists to reveal the essence of architecture, in creating space, making something out of nothing, exposing something in which is concealed or as the German Phenomenology's Franz Xaver once put it : ' the unfolding of a point into a space'
The point I am getting at is that through narrative we can form spatial qualities, through the way in which we interact and are guided throughout and within a form of architecture.
The narrative is what creates a reaction, The build up, the play of form, light, texture, by all means architecture is nothing close to simple, My photographic narrative will symbolise complexity but yet within a readable, tangible interpretation.
IDEAS - To rearrange pre-existing photographs as a brainstorm for further shoots,
-first shoot within this concept will be of a room slowly filling up with balloons, This acts as a metaphor to how within an architectural narrative and journey we create a build up of what is inside, what could occurs within as this build up occurs we remember the spatial qualities, we have become stimulated and can realise this build up as we open the door and move into a new space, The balloons within the room empty out and we continue our journey to find a new space, In a way the architecture gets left behind only as a memory. Something which is difficult for some architects to understand but it the way in which space is interacted with which makes it apart of a narrative.
-To push this idea further I may even begin to make spaces and shapes out of the preexisting photographs to move deeper into creating and depicted a spatial experience.
AIM - To push the bouandaries of perieced architecture but to communicate this effectively through photography to form a strong narrative. A strong series of photographs which relate but may not necesseraly be of the same context. To push the idea of how we can form a space and how we can interpret the space.

Could this be taken into further narrative but lets begin here
