Patrick Daughters acclaimed music director, has produced many brilliant music videos. His focus on identifying the needs for the subject pays off, as his style is manipulated to each client in a unique appropriate manor. Some of my favourite's include
+Fiest (1234) (mushaboom) (my moon my man)
+department of eagles (no one does it like you)
+yeah yeah yeahs (gold lion) (turn intro)
+the shins (phantom limb)
+plus many more which can be found on
Grizzly Bear is an example of using the digital realm to portray a narrative that is of the song two weeks notice, The cinematography follows a pastel, pallet style of the 50's, over the course of the clip the distorted, obscured portraits are embedded with light, accompanied by the slow motion which creates and relates to the harmonics of the music. This video reminds me of Peter Stichbury's painting style, with a focus on obscurity, and fiction within the digital realm.
